Alt Design Group
Our focus is our client's needs.
ADG believes in a distinctive and personalized design experience for each and every client. We are dedicated to the finest customer service and outstanding client satisfaction. ADG offers full service interior design, consultation, kitchen & bath remodeling, and styling.
As Principal Designer of ADG, Julia's primary focus is to interpret each client's design objectives and personal style into fulfillment of their vision. Her initial effort is to deeply understand the client. This understanding becomes the driving force of the project with Julia guiding the client through the myriad of choices and finally resulting in the appropriate design solution. ADG recognizes that everyone is unique, and ultimately the designed environment should be a celebration of that individuality.
Julia's passion for design stems from her hereditary creativity, a strong sense of curiosity, her love of learning, and the enjoyment she feels when helping others. She is a strong believer in the design process and truly values the partnership that develops throughout the course of each project.
She is a Southern California native and an architect’s kid. Her background includes formal education in Interior Design and she is a Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the American Institute of Architects and a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association. She has worked in the interior design industry since 1986, starting her own firm in 1998, and ultimately joining Steve Alt Design Group in 2015.
Julia currently serves on the Board of the Orange County Chapter of ASID in the Communications Director position and was recently elected to serve the next term as the Financial Director. She has organized many varied events for the Orange County Chapter of ASID as well as participating in events such as the Philharmonic House of Design, ASID OC's "Chairs for Charity”, Philharmonic's "Entertaining by Design”, Luxe Magazine’s “Art of Design”, and they were the winners of LDC’s 2015 “Designer Runway” event.
When not working on design projects, Julia can be found spending time riding and showing horses, or watching golf with her husband, a retired golf professional and tour caddie.
